N709Q: GSM/GPRS modem reference design Print Print E-mail page E-mail page

N709Q GSM/GPRS reference design u-blox licenses its market-proven GSM/GPRS modem reference design to OEM customers. The N709Q design combines baseband processor, RF transceiver, and power management components to support quad-band GSM/GPRS functionality including voice, data and SMS capabilities.

The solution dramatically shortens time-to-market, and includes all hardware information, software binaries including stack, production test bench design and test software, certification, training and documentation. The result is a wireless, ultra-compact, low power communications solution which is easily integrated into consumer, industrial and automotive OEM designs, ready for high-volume mass-production.

Typical N709Q Applications: point of sales terminals (PoS), automatic meter reading (AMR), remote monitoring automation and control (RMAC), surveillance and security systems.

The N709Q wireless reference design is offered via Neonseven S.p.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of u-blox AG.
