Job Title: Application Engineer Software (2nd Level Customer Support) Position: The successful candidate will be part of the application engineering team for our GNSS products. This experienced system or software engineer will be responsible for the following tasks: Worldwide support to regional customer support teams for design-in and application development Problem analysis and issue solving in customer application Develop and perform technical trainings for field application engineers. Define, build and supply customer support packages: reference application board and demo software Write application notes Close cooperation with hardware and software developers Support engineering and marketing team in the specification of new products Competitor analysis Requirements: Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering Must be familiar with Embedded Software, Semiconductors and Electronics, with several years of experience in Electronics or Semiconductor Industry Customer-oriented, needs to be able to quickly understand the system architecture of customer's application, and advise field application engineers or key customer on possibilities, and consult on a technical level. Excellent communication skills to interface with u-blox subsidiaries or customers around the world Knowledge in the following areas is a plus. Fluent in C, C++ and Perl. Android, Embedded Linux or Windows Mobile embedded operating system Software driver architectures SPI, I2C, UART, USB and other communication interfaces Digital signal processing and satellite communication Global Positioning Systems Swiss national or EU national with international experience back-ground Fluent in German and English Our Offer: We offer a challenging position within an international work environment.
